  Mayor Karachi visit Esa Nagri Grave yard.  
  Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar said cleaning work in and around 48 grave yards being done with arrangements of lights and cleaning of storm water drains near graveyards to felicitate people visiting graveyards to offer fateha on the graves of their dear ones on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat. City wardens will be deputed around graveyards on Shab-e-Barat and fumigation work be done to eliminate mosquitoes and other germs in and around graveyards, jamia masjids and imambarghas. He said this while talking to media representatives after a visit of Esa Nagri Graveyard on Monday. DMC East chairman Moeed Anwer, senior director municipal services Nauman Arshad, incharge graveyard Iqbal Parvez, elected representatives and other officers were also present on this occasion. Mayor Karachi said most of the graveyard have been filled now however the mafia existed there still managed to arrange for space for burial. He said measures being taken to stop this practice and first time bylaws were framed for graveyards. He said many citizens visit the graveyard to offer fateha on the grave of their relatives, friends and others on Shab-e-Barat and it was duty of the municipal organization to provide them with better facilities. Mayor Karachi also inspected the storm water drain near Esa Nagri graveyard and gave directives to concerned officers for its cleaning.
